Tanzania expects to receive the second consignment of vaccine, this month.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, Minister of Health, Gender, Community Development, Elderly and Children, Dr. Dorothy Gwajima said the country will receive Sinopharm vaccine on October 8, this year.

According to her, a total of 681,736 Tanzanians have already been vaccinated and some regions have finished their doses “so they are currently requesting more from the neighboring regions.

She said, since President Samia Suluhu Hassan launched the immunization programme, more people have shown positive response towards the programme, thanks to the state's awareness programme.
