Minister Hasunga assured Mrs. Sivan Yaari that Tanzania is the right place for investment and a safe place to live since the government led by President John Pombe Magufuli strengthens its efforts to improve lives of Tanzanians while boosting the economy of the country and by implementing the TIC (Trade Investment Center) which is the government's primary institution responsible for coordinating, encouraging, promoting and facilitating investment.
Tanzania is a leading investor in East Africa since it managed to attract investment worth US $ 1.18 billion, followed by Uganda to US $ 0.7 billion and Kenya to US $ 0.67 billion. “Due to key measures taken by the Government to call investment in the country, the investment rate has improved compared to other East African countries.”
