The ruling Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Presidential candidate Dr. John Magufuli has congratulated Tanzanians who have turned out to their respective polling centres early today.
Speaking to reporters, shortly after casting his ballot in Chamwino, Dodoma, the incumbent President Magufuli who was accompanied by her wife, Janeth Magufuli, commended supervisors for preparation at the polling centre, allowing people to exercise their constitutional right smoothly.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has urged Tanzanians to maintain peace as they are electing their leaders through ballot box saying it is the country's treasure.
Mr. Majaliwa and his wife Mary were among Rungwa residents in Lindi region who turned out to elect their leaders early Wednesday.
