Innovation: Africa in Tanzania

On February 20, 2018, H.E. Mr. Job Daudi Masima met Innovation: Africa's team at their office and offered his partnership to assist them developing their action in Tanzania.

On June 2018, 18 projects were completed: 16 in Bagamoyo and Chalinze (old area of operation) and 2 recent in Dodoma area, which are a first water project, Iyoli Village and a first solar installation at a health center, Bumbuta Village, in Kondoa District.

On November 2018, 4 new projects were furthermore achieved in Dodoma Region: three solar water systems as well as a solar installation at a school in Chamwino and Bahi Districts.

Thus far, Innovation: Africa has carried out 22 projects in Tanzania impacting 104,502 people.

In the past 10 years, Innovation: Africa has brought Israeli solar, agricultural and water technologies to over 200+ projects in 9 African countries and each project is tracked live, thanks to their Israeli remote monitoring technology.

​In 2012, Innovation: Africa was granted Special Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, marking them as one of a select group of NGO’s that have access to UN meetings at the highest level, and can participate in global discussions on the needs of rural communities.

In 2013, Innovation: Africa was rewarded the UN Innovation Award at the United Nation’s Global South-South Development Expo, recognizing their self-sustaining model to transform lives using Israeli innovation.
