The Government of the State of Israel announced with great sadness the passing of Nehama Rivlin, the wife of President Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin on June 4th, 2019 in the morning.
Mrs. Rivlin passed away on the eve of her 74th birthday. Approximately three months before, Mrs. Rivlin underwent a lung transplant as a result of the pulmonary fibrosis from which she suffered for several years.
Following the operation, Mrs. Rivlin and the presidential family greatly appreciated the support they received from world leaders and their spouses, as well as leading religious figures.
H.E. Job Masima attended the Funeral Ceremony held on June 5th, 2019 in Jerusalem, at Mount Herzl and paid his last respects by signing the Book of Condolences on June 7th, 2019 at the Residence of the President of the State of Israel.
