56th Africa Day Anniversary celebrated by the Union of the African Ambassadors to Israel

On 30/05/2019, a reception was given by the African Union to celebrate its 56th Anniversary. 

The event was held also this year at the Nigerian Ambassador's Residence and was hosted by the African Ambassadors to Israel of Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Zambia.

The Ambassador of Egypt, as the African Union Chair, delivered his speech, insisting on the crucial role of women and the young generation for the development of Africa.

The Ambassador of Zambia, Dean of African Ambassadors, highlighted the need of peace and stability to improve the African people's living.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Ayoob Kara, represented the Government of Israel.

After rising a toast and cutting the cake, the guests have been able to taste and enjoy the African cuisine.

The atmosphere, in the colours of Africa, was delightful, warm and joyful.
